Easy ways to feed yourself and your baby

This is a picture of how I make my life easier to feed myself and my 9 month old similar meals.  On the left is my meal, a cooked chicken breast schnitzel cut into pieces with salad and some cut up watermelon.

On the right is my son's dinner, cut up pieces of schnitzel with the breadcrumbs cut off, small pieces of watermelon, some cooked apple and pieces of cucumber to chew on.

A yummy easy lunch for babies

Here is a picture of my 9 month olds lunch yesterday.  It's really easy, just cut up a peach into small pieces and take off the skin, chop up some avocado and there is also a small sandwich which has some no added salt or sugar peanut butter spread on it.  You could also spread the avocado on the bread or just leave it plain.

A healthy breakfast for baby

Here is breakfast for my 9 month old baby.  1/2 Kids Weetbix, a couple of spoons of full fat Greek yoghurt and some pre-cooked apple pieces, yum!

Fun Vegetable Faces

What a fun idea. Kids will love making these funny faces and what's better is they are good for them.
Just use rice cakes as the base, cut up a variety of vegetables, in the pictures there is carrot, alfalfa, cucumber, cherry tomato halves, baby spinach leaves and mushrooms. Spread some cream cheese on the base to help everything stick, that's it!

Yummy Vegetable Rice Recipe

Hey everyone, this is my first post, yay!

Here is my first recipe.  What you see is a picture of my little son's lunch from yesterday.  He is almost 9 months.  The white stuff is full-fat greek yoghurt, small pieces of cut up watermelon and vegetable rice.

The recipe for the vegie rice is:
1/2 Cup basmatic rice
100g pumpkin, cut into small pieces
1 grated carrot
1 1/2 cups of cold water
Handful of peas

In a small pan place rice, water, pumpkin and carrot.  Bring the boil and simmer for 10 minutes or until rice and vegetables are soft.  Add peas and cook until heated through.
I mashed the pumpkin into the rice a bit to make a it softer.

Hope you enjoy.
